Trick or Treat

This is the funniest incident happened in my first year in US. 5 years ago... I was in Huntsville, AL ... At the Quial point Apartment # 1C.. It was Halloween and it was around 7 PM. One of my room mate was cooking and he was with his usual house costume (bunion and pale dhoti (supposed to be white).

Then the door knocks ... "knock knock......" then my room mate goes and opens the door thinking its one of my other room mates..... I was sitting in my living room trying to do my home work... then I heard the chorus voices "Trick or Trrrrrrrrreat" ..... then he said .... "O Thank you"

I was like ... "WAT???"

I walked towards the door and this wat had happened... only this time the camera is outside the door....

4 kidz... one with a witch costume, one with devil, one as an angle and another was a superman walked towards 1C apartment... they knock the door knob... "Knock Knock.." then the door opens and my room mate comes with his pale and white costume... and the kids shouts "Trick or Trrrrrrrrreat"..... and there it is.. My room mate picks a candy from the bowl with a smiling face and says... "Thank you"....

ha ha ....

Then the kid actually turns towards his mom and his mom says... "O... YOU have to treat them with candies..!!!" and gives a griming smile...luckily we had around 10 kit kats that we took from the candy bowl at our work...

Man that was Funny and embarrassing...

Free Red sox tickets in Craigs list

I was looking for Red Sox tickets in Craigs list yesterday... I saw this title on the screen.. i was so curious to know who will be this guy who sells it for free when the bleachers tickets are whooping to nearly a grand...

This is wat the posting looked like

" I have an extra ticket for the Game 2 of the world series at the Fenway park. I am looking for the luckiest girl who is going to watch the game with me tonite and enjoy the victory after the match. These are really good seats and who cares wat... its the world series game... The girl should be within Boston area if she needs a pickup otherwise you have to travel on your own. This offer ends by 6PM today so approach me immediately... Its on first come first serve basis...

World Series Tickets at the Fenway park

Redsox won the ALCS 2007 and are going to play the world series against the Colorodo Rockers from Wednessday... So I was thinking of watching a game and tried to buy the tickets from stubhub yesterday ... and can you guess wats the price of the tickets... ????

$1350 for a ticket that was $40 in regular pre season match... and $850 for the ticket which was $23 (bleachers).... I was astonished and it was hard to believe if any one would buy a ticket for that price... you believe it or not... 30 min later... those 10 $1350 tickets were down to 2 and 25 $850 were all gone... I was just watching the computer screen for 10 min with my mouth WIDE OPEN...

$850 - that was a little more than my two months salary 5 years ago... when I was working partime as a student for my university library in Alabama... WOW.... i guess they are not Redsox fans they are Redsox freaks... Tomorrow it will be a stadium full of freaks...

You know... The bleacher tickets in Colorodo is $250 + Air charge $230 + Hotel for a day and food $100 = $580 ... even if two redsox fan fly there it will be cheaper than watching the game in FENWAY PARK....

HEY THATS THE CHEAPEST FAIR I AM TELLING>>>>
the costliest tickets are 10500, 17800, 19500, 20589 DOLLARS..................... I want to see the person who buys those ticket......

Infact I have seen Redsox fans tenting infront of Fenway park three days in advance for the Game 1 of the world series... 3 days... in cold, in sun, day and nite... they literally have verizon wifi on their laptop, a heater to keep them warm, Small boyz rolling in their sleeping bag in the streets near the fenway park... Already the Q has increased till the Kenmore station ...

Well if you ask me... the cheapest and easiest place to watch your RED SOX Game is your living room couch...

If its Rajinikanth in INDIA... its Red Sox in America...

My Click-Flicks

Fall colors are just B E A utiful ... esp in the New England area. Yesterday I roamed around with my camera to shoot some of these natural beauty. All yellow, orange, purple colored leafs... on the side of the two way lanes was simply awesome... They are still to become more beautiful...


I always wanted to shoot a pics which is very artful, looks like an awesome wall paper, just like from those professional photographers.... Well after seeing the pics I took i feel like I have a long journey....

I took my camera and went to a trail near a lake... and was shooting the scene where you have a clear stand still lake with these colored trees on the banks. There was another person beside me who was shooting these stuffs... So i started to talk to him...

Me: Its beautiful ...!!
He: Yep.. It is...
Me: I am Badri
He: I am Rohan...
Me: I shd have come where there is more sun... These flashes just spoils the beauty of the picture...
He: I am here for a long time...
Me: Nice....

Then he turns towards me fully and I see the One foot long lens attached to his SLR....
AAAAAAAAAAAAAA............................. Ade pavi... Avan ne....

Wat ever.... I don't know what he is... but I seriously need some lessons if I want to improve on my photography..... May be practice will perfect me... Hey like I always say to my college exams... "There is always next time dude..."

WHOO ... HOOO... It does not look like what it sounds....Its not the Indians from India ;) ... Its the clevland Indians. This is the first year I started to watch and learn baseball and since I am in the land of Fenway park... Here am I ... Slowly becoming a Redsox fan...


Today is the American league championship series game 7. Redsox came from 3-1 to play their 7th game in Fenway Park... Would they win this?? I want them to... Its their home game and ofcourse "The Important" game too...

Daisuke Matsuzaka, The 103 Million Dollar man, did flunk in his previous game... he is the first rookie playing the 7th game of the ALCS... definitly the pressure is on but I still have confidence on him. And for big papi and Manny... its doesn't matter who is pitching... I am confident the ball is going to swing over the green monster to take Redsox to the world series against the Colorado Rockers...

I don't know the reason... I don't know why... I don't know what is in him but I am a great fan of Super star Rajinikanth... in spite of there being great actors like Kamalhasan. Its just not the case with me... but almost every person from south India ..atleast those under the age of 35 are a great fan of this star. He had acted great in many movies in the past, but recently he has been acting only in mass movies... Again people of south India for an unknown reason - will not accept a genuine movie by this star.... they will accept only mass movies from this super star.

Well Madam Tussade's museum of London has offered to host a wax statue of Super star Rajinikanth. For that they have asked a request letter signed by all his fans in order to give them confidence that hosting his statue will be beneficial to them...

So some of the Fans are collecting votes and making people to sign the letter which request his statue..

I feel this is stupid... All these Rajini fans are stupids... WAX Statue for Rajinikanth??? for wat ... Just doing some Gimix on the screen....

So you know wat I did ...

I went and voted for him ..... mine is 4866th signature... ;)
HEY I AM A DIE HARD FAN OF HIM...

If I ever fly to London... I would definitely include his wax statue visit as one of the item in my "Things to See in London" list .. in fact it will take priority number ONE...even Lords and Buckingham palace would be after that...

To be or not to be

Some one I know did remind me on this yesterday. The above poster is there with me for the past 14 years. When I was in my 9th grade I saw this poster in one of the Archie gallery and immediately bought it. I used to admire this baby in the poster --- so cute, sweet, so confused of wat to do...;) man i laugh at this poster every time i see it ...

I have used this to subside anger, subside my grief, subside my sadness, subside my jealousy... When ever i see this i just laugh and forget wat ever happened... and proceed forward... This is an awesome piece of photography.

Here i am 14 years later... grown as "A Man" still having this poster in my bed room... This may be stupid, may be kiddish, may be even gayish .... DUDE wat ever... I Like it...

Worst part of the JOKE

IS EXPLAINING THE JOKE....

I always have to do it. I dont know if this is a mistake on my part by not telling the joke properly or others by not able to understand my joke... I know these are real good joke... but SOMETHING IS MISSING....

It happens to me for every joke i tell... i shd stop telling jokes now....

Worst than that... Some time i will finish telling the joke and obviously explain it... but still they would remain as a statue... then i myself have to take the initiative and tell them "And thats the joke..." and they laugh for that....

Some one I knew did console me... "End of the day you atleast make some joke"

You know wat i am thinking... I shd have a recorded voice along with me every time...
where bunch of people just laughs... "ha ha ha ha ..." like in one of those sitcoms ... (in some of the evening shows.... ) where people will be telling jokes and bunch of people in the background be laughing on that immaterial if its a joke or not... (something like Nyandi Dharbar)

Mailless Friday policy

Last Friday morning when you open the Yahoo home page you would have seen this adv for Mail less Friday... They wanted one day of the week to be mail less ... so they actually planned to do more phone call meeting or straight interaction on a round tables... whether they are full time or consultant...

They wanted to do so that they interact with the people directly and develop good relation and terms with their fellow employees...

NICE.... but you know I had a Mailless Friday too... Not even a single email ... May be nobody wanted to interact with me on Friday... I am enjoying mail less Friday even without the policy existing in my company... ;)

NOTE: I know wat do u guys think... This doesnt mean I was totally free... I had phone calls and meetings...and my own job to do on that Friday... ;)

What does depressed non Alcholic men do???

A guy is depressed.... on a monday evening ..sitting in the bottom of his couch... watching a ball game on his 40 inch HDTV - still with his office formals... just loosened his tie and his sleeves.. has a taco bell challupa on the right hand, Nacho cheese on the side... Hot Papa jones Pizza...opened in front of him... with garlic sauce on a small cup... + Chill 2 liters of coke bottle opened beside him... You might even see a big family size bag of Doritoes or Jalapeños chips packet opened wide like a dead fish...

That how you raft

Look at me in the pics... And thats how u raft ;)

That was the number 4 without knowing swimming. We were 8 of us… I was wondering we go in two different boats, but for some reason we all sat in the same boat… since I had done rafting previously I was asked to sit in the front and lead the show…. DAM people… Most of them in that 7 were really dum people… they don’t talk to me… and there was no force on the water was not that fast either, so all together it was real boring 3 hrs of rafting.

Well I had gone to one in Tennessee, one in Smokies and one in Richmond Downtown. Well the one in Tennessee and Smokies were awesome. There was class 4 and 5 and it was awesome rafting. Well the Richmond one is also boring as the last one but what can we say, it’s the only river that runs over the downtown were you can raft. It was interesting that we rafted inbetween the tall buildings.
